Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

Q:Do you have an hourly minimum?

A:We do not have a 2 or more hour minimum requirement. We require the first hour of service as the deposit only (the deposit is not due at the time of booking; deposit invoice is sent via email with our service agreement for client verification before payment is made). Any time worked, minus the deposit, will be due at the completion of service. Time worked less than an hour is prorated. 

  • Example of prorated time: Your service last 2 hours and 10 minutes. You will only pay for this time worked, no more or less. 

Q: Are your movers experienced?

A: Most of our movers have been with our company for 5 or more years. We take pride in our reputation for moving our client's belongings safely. On-site management is present for all services to ensure quality, as well.

Q: Do you have Insurance?

A: Yes, our company is insured. We provide coverage for all our client's belongings at no additional cost to the hourly rate.

Q: Do you charge more for materials to protect my furniture?

A:No, we do not charge more for the materials to protect your furniture. We provide furniture blankets and shrink wrap at no additional cost to our clients.

Q: Are there fees for flights of stairs or elevators?

A: No, we do not charge additional for flights of stairs or elevators. 

Q: Is there a travel fee?

A: There will be a one-time charge of $95.00 for the travel fee for all local moving services requiring our truck, no matter the distance. Labor only services are excluded from this charge.  

Q: When does the time start for my move?

A: The time for your service starts once our movers arrive and begin working.

Q: Do you charge for the time it takes to get to my new location?

A: Yes, we charge for travel time during your service. The time starts when we begin working and ends once all items are off our truck and placed appropriately. 

Q: Are there any other fees I need to know about?

A: We do not have any hidden fees. We provide our detailed service agreement via email upon booking for your review and signature before services are rendered. 

Q: Can you tell me the total cost for my move?

A: We are unable to provide a total cost for services until the completion of service as our cost is hourly. We are able to provide an estimate of time only before services are rendered. No estimates provided should be considered the actual time for the service.

Q: Do you take apart and put bed frames back together?

A: Yes, we provide furniture assembly and disassembly at no additional cost to our clients (bed frames, washer/dryer connections, tables, etc.). This includes taking televisions off wall mounts and mounts from walls as well. We do not provide television mounting services, however.
